Tagliatelle is long, flat pasta ribbons, shaped into a nest. From the Italian tagliare, meaning "to cut", tagliatelle is a traditional type of pasta from regions of Italy. Where as verdi means green in Italian, referring to the pasta being dyed with spinach. Our green tagliatelle gets its colour by the addition of fresh spinach to premium durum wheat flour and looks great when served. Easy and quick to prepare, it goes perfectly with rich tomato or cream sauces, both fish and meat. Green tagliatelle is also a favourite with vegetarians and is excellent with mixed vegetable sauce. Tagliatelle is traditionally served with a meat or Bolognese sauce, but also works extremely well with a cheese or cream sauce.
