Foie Gras Beef Wellington, a steak dish of English origin, is known to be a decadent meal with an AMAZING presentation. The combination of a thick, juicy beef tenderloin and special duxelles, (a mushroom puree that has its moisture cooked out), all wrapped in a puff pastry shell, is pure heaven. Beef tenderloin is already know to be the most tender cut of beef and wrapping it in more ingredients creates a perfect meal fit for any special occasion.
Creating such a masterpiece could take hours and it’s not always easy to find all the right ingredients. But Waifood strives to make your live as easy as possible by finding the best products on the market and saving you time. We’ve got a pre-assembled frozen Beef Wellington for you that is excellent quality and so easy to make. All you have to do is bake it. Just follow our easy step by step guide.
Step 1: Take your Beef Wellington out of the freezer and place it in a fridge to thaw for about 6 -8 hours. Do not thaw it at room temperature otherwise the pastry will stick to the wrapping paper.
Step 2: Preheat the over to 200 degrees C
Step 3: Take the steak out of the packet. It is wrapped in baking paper. Spread the baking paper on a baking tray and place the steak on top of the baking
paper. Bake it in the oven for about 38 minutes. If you want 7-8 minutes medium steak, then reduce the cooking time by about 8 minutes.
Step 4: While the steak is baking, place the packet of mushroom sauce in boiling water (do not open the packet) and heat for about 4 minutes.
Step 5: Remove the baked steak from the oven, slice it and put on a plate. Open the packet of mushroom sauce and serve with the steak.
So easy and oh so delicious! Enjoy!
